VEGAN CHOICES & COSMETICS
Dear friends of peace and truth;)
This is a new Article from Jasmin Alea, writing about sustainability and ethical lifestyles. Enjoy reading and let the process happen.. You can be the change you want to see 😉 And Ringana can be part of this.
For a while, I had the idea to write a blog about cosmetics. A special kind of cosmetics, of course.
You know me, I am a health apostle. Vegan, nature and animal lover.
A LONG JOURNEY OF TESTING
For over 10 years now, I have been involved with animal-free cosmetics.
Even before I decided to go vegan, I felt responsible for what was in my bathroom. That was long before I thought about what was in the fridge.
Well, that’s just how we have our processes.
THE FIRST IMPRESSIONS
There have always been various videos circulating about animals that are kept in laboratories to experience torture and brutal tests on their own bodies so that we humans can then use a product without getting sick from the side effects or allergies.
In this case we humans place ourselves again over the kingdom of the animals and we just make a decision without ever being able to ask their consent. I think each of us has seen such a video, photo, or trailer.
I’ll share with you a few links to the docs I’ve found very helpful on my journey to veganism.
WHERE IS THE FOCUS?
I will not go into detail, because I want to talk about something beautiful today. I will write about the solution for the problem.
The solution for the problem is in our hands. Or rather, in our wallets.
VOTE WITH YOUR WALLET.
A term I first heard from Enrico. And it makes sense.
Our consumer behavior determines the growth of certain companies.
Demand determines growth.
And if we keep buying a certain cream from a certain company and other people do the same, the company grows, the product is re-produced and the animals continue to be tested and kept in captivity.
SO? WHAT IS THE SOLUTION?
A: I don’t care. My skin, smell, etc. is more important to me than the suffering of the animals and nature.
Or
B: I want a beautiful skin and happy animals, as well as a healthy nature. No exploitation by my choices.
And this is the point, we have to make the decision by ourselves.
With everything, not just cosmetics.
BUT HOW?
Food, work, friends, partnership…
What do I decide every day? Where do I put the focus? What do I support? Whom do I support? What do I let into my skin? What do I let into my system?
Not only the food, the cosmetics etc. but also the content.
What kind of people do I surround myself with? What do I do to earn money? Where do I work? What kind of music do I listen to and what kind of movies do I watch?
We make all this decisions. Everything makes waves. Everything has consequences. Every decision is coupled to another decision. We should be aware of that. We may and should think about that.
OUT OF THE DILEMMA OF EXCUSES
We, humans, get annoyed about this and that, and when it comes to the point:
„What does this have to do with me?“…
…. we often pull out and invent reasons and excuses why this is not possible now or why it does not apply to us and so on. Everyone knows this loophole of excuses, for sure.
„Yes, I only eat meat very rarely,“
…. ?!?
„Well then, the animals you eat, just die a little 😉 „
Yes, the answer is quite radical, but that’s how it is, isn’t it?
When it comes to taking personal responsibility, we squirm to the maximum. But we can learn to feel responsible.
We can only benefit from it and at the same time we would reduce the suffering of the environment 🙂
It is good to change the course, to get involved in new things, and to learn.
NEW WAYS, NEW GOALS
For example, I learned a lot about Ringana from my friend Nadja.
Last year, when we were in India, Nadja and I had a very long phone call. So she told me about Ringana, the whole Ringana concept, the philosophy, the products, the sustainability. Everything that I needed to know, to make a decision.
I was very surprised that there is really a company that thinks of everything from A to Z in terms of sustainability and ethics.
In addition, I knew that Nadja is very skeptical and first researches everything thoroughly before she talks about something with so much euphoria.
MY RINGANA JOURNEY
Although I was in India and I was not sure when I can come back to Europe, due to the Corona situation in 2020, I immediately signed up as a Ringana Partner and ordered my starter package. I like to support such companies whose goal is to do good for our environment.
Of course, I couldn’t say much about the products yet, but the clean ingredients and the clear structures of the company excited me like no other company before.
My mother tested the products as well and she was very happy with all this good creams and lotions. Since that time she receives Ringana products for every celebration.
Her feedback was many great photos and her absolute enthusiasm for the serums, and creams and especially the tooth oil.
Meanwhile, I studied the site and made notes and vision-boards.
I came back to Europe and I ordered immediately new products and told all my friends and family about this 100% chemical-free, vegan and fresh cosmetics company. I noticed very quickly how good the products are for my skin. My skin was very dry and thirsty after the long stay in India. My skin literally soaked everything up and I had zero skin discomfort.
MY SKIN REBELLED 😖
During my time in India, I started having terrible skin problems due to air pollution. The heat, the dust, the sun, the dirt, all together caused me to get pimples and rashes all over my face.
I tried all kinds of Ayurvedic cures and massages. I did detox cures and I was treated in a well-known skin clinic in India for over a month.
I felt like it was getting worse and worse and I felt like I was suddenly in puberty.
I have been doing yoga and meditating for 6 years. My diet is pretty healthy as I eat a lot of raw vegan food and no gluten. I don’t smoke and I don’t drink alcohol. But still, my skin was out of control. I am a neurodermatitis sufferer and used to get relapses at regular intervals, some of which I could only control with cortisone because neurodermatitis makes an extremely sensitive skin and the skin reacts to perfume, alcohol, essential oils, etc..
I looked for products that were tolerable for me and didn’t make things worse. I tried all sorts of things. Unfortunately, nothing has helped me.
I reacted to almost everything with a rash.
So even in natural cosmetics, it was not easy to find something easily tolerated.
A MIRACLE FOR ME
Because of the absolutely pure ingredients at Ringana, I ordered almost all products for the skin without hesitation.
The first weeks with Ringana I noticed no big change, but also no deterioration. And the products felt good. I felt comfortable in my skin. For the first time after a very long time.
However, I felt a freshness on my skin and somehow also a recovery. My skin could breathe again and felt very clean.
The recovery took a while, because with natural products it always takes a while for the skin to show a deeply effective change.
My emphasis here is on depth effective !!
The smell is also pleasant and zero chemical or annoying. Very light and natural.
I have noticed in the last months, that if a pimple appears, my skin renews and heals much faster than usual. My skin regenerates itself deeply and the products helped my skin to build up its own protective barrier.
Of course, a cream is not the one and only solution. A healthy lifestyle and healthy lifestyle choices are.
Diet plays a very important role, and so does your mental state.
If we are exposed to permanent stress, whether at work, in the family, in relationships, etc., this also has an effect on the appearance of our skin and our general well-being.
Inside and outside 😉
I also experienced a strong detox when I went vegan. All of these animal proteins and animal hormones have been proven to be super harmful to our organism.
Especially during puberty, parents should help their children to become vegan and gluten-free, if not before;) This also does a lot to the skin if you leave out animal proteins and dairy products.
But of course this is a process and it takes some training getting used to a new life style. Well, it’s a good thing if you grow older and you want to avoid annoying diseases. Most of them come from animal ingredients. Cancer in particular is predominantly caused by animal products and stress. But this is a big topic for another article.
I hope you enjoyed the article and I could help you a bit with my view on cosmetics and vegan, sustainable lifestyle.
Feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns you may have about the content of the article. My intention is to enrich a healthy, recovered world with my gentle consumerism. There is still so much for me to learn and understand better.
So please also feel free to enlighten me on topics related to sustainability and self-healing. I am happy about an exchange.
Love
Jasmin Alea
